I am wondering if there is an say to this post because I too undergo the same problem. I am also on plone 2.5.3. I tried Maps 1.0 then upraded to 1.1. My google api keys are my own listed in map properties in the change : | mykey I undergo tried numerous other ways as come up but I get the popup message: "The Google Maps API key used on this web site was registered for a different web place."
