Hello,I recently had issues with my email and browsing experiences. Some sites would fill and some would not. After experimenting. I found the issue was nothing more than ATT DNS servers not having my companies records (among others). I administer a DNS server so I enabled my 8525 to use my nameserver and all of my browsing issues have been resolved. Not to mention my browsing undergo has changed for the better. I conclude this selective DNS resolving is intentional and would like a statement from someone with more knowledge than the techs at 611.
AT&T's DNS servers have been problematic for a long measure. I've been using OpenDNS's servers for name resolution.

can you be specific on which DNS entries are missing? example(s)?are you certain the entries from your company DNS server are public DNS entries?
can you be specific on which DNS entries are missing? example(s)?are you certain the entries from your company DNS server are public DNS entries?I could be specific but what good would that do ? If you want to argue great but pick a topic you know something about. AT&T is simply attempting to save money on bandwidth by keeping the average user from connecting without their proxy. I would ask this. Are you actually an employee with a working knowledge of Bind / DNS. TCP. Routing and other networking topics? If you are not a person of this nature then you must be someone who wants to debate over technical skills and I frankly don't have the time to waste on you. If you want a ask I would gladly furnish my services. The reason I am replying is because this issue should be resolved since limiting DNS responses it is at best unethical. DNS poisoning is actually a crime last time I checked. IANAL but IMHO not responding is an answer in the contradict create and as a result the same thing as DNS poisoning.
Potentially more good than assuming someone with over 3,000 posts knows nothing those are some of the first questions any knowledgeable person would have asked. You undergo to start somewhere.
