I have a client who has had the "Virtual is low" issue forever. We undergo tried the following fixes:Replaced RAM (stick was bad)Replaced hard drive with a fresh install of the OSMade sure plenty of lay was available on the hard control (50GB )Scanned for spywareScanned for virusesChecked for programs hogging a lot of memory (found none)Also changed the Virtual Memory settings via these instructions (from pcmag com):Right-click My Computer and decide Properties. Click the Advanced tab. move the Settings button in the panel. Click the Advanced tab in the Performance dialog. move the dress button in the Virtual memory adorn. Whew! This setting is buried quite thoroughly! Look for the System managed size option select it if it isn't already selected and then click OK. OK. OK. That should end the warnings. Is there such thing as a motherboard having a memory break?Any experience with Earthlink's be Access causing this? What would you declare trying next? The computer has also started to freeze even as it sits overnight when it is not being used. Scanned the hard drive for bad sectors. It passed. Suggestions?
how much memory does it undergo?is the drive partitioned?you could use a secondary drive and move the summon register on to the other drive,

512MB of RAM. It's new and I recently installed it. It passed MemTest86's examine. Yes the HD is partitioned. Are you suggesting that because the C drive might not have enough lay for the pagefile? There is plenty of space just so you know. Or is there another reason?FYI: She said that soon after I replaced the hard drive and RAM and did a fresh install of the OS it started to furnish the Virtual Memory error (maybe a few days after or up to a week. Also she has a 2.5GHz system with 512MB RAM and she was rebooting the computer once a week. I have advised her to resuscitate it every 2-3 of days.
when you went to the page file did it show it as being on the C: control only?if it is then move it to the other partitionis the lay on the C: control getting beat?
I did not get a chance to be at the location of the pagefile. It was set to the fail location. So most likely it was on the C control. No it is not getting full. Plenty of space. Video is onboard.
the onboard video may be your problem. You can allocate how much memory the video uses in the bios so if it’s set to use over 256MB of memory windows will run low whatever the video is set to use windows cannot use,So check the bios for how much memory the video is using,
How much RAM would you declare that the onboard video use? I'm assuming by your say that 256MB and below is advised but what is optimal? And if this is the case then it would be best to replace the mobo correct? Or will this simple dress of setting fix it (if it is using more than 256mb)?Is there such thing as a mobo "leaking" RAM?
The more RAM the on-board video is using the l;ess will be available for running programs. If possible set it to something small desire 32 or change surface 16Mb. Unless its going to be used for gaming you could even set it to 8Mb and your problems might be over.

Or simpler yet add in another 512MB for a total of a Gig if there's another memory slot available? Rather than buying a whole new motherboard adding change surface more confusion to the problem (ensuring it ordain fit possibilty of CPU not working with it re-installation of the OS.. etc etc)
