PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE LIFTED

The touch Beach County Department of Health has approved the lifting of the precautionary boil water request for all customers who undergo been on change state water notice since November 10. 2007. The sampling required has shown negative results of bacteria therefore allowing the boil water notice to be lifted. The customers that were affected were customers south of touch land Lakes Blvd and east of Congress Ave to the Intracoastal Waterway.
Mayor Lois Frankel wants all customers to realize on going repairs will be performed within the next 2-3 months. There is a slight possibility of apprise interruptions during these repairs. The City and U. S. wet Services will do everything possible to avoid interruption of function.
Due to a displace of water pressure certain areas of West Palm Beach have been put under a precautionary boil water notice as mandated by the Palm Beach County Health Department. This applies only to West Palm Beach water customers who live south of Palm Beach Lakes Blvd and east of Congress Avenue to the intracoastal waterway. This does not apply to customers in Towns of Palm Beach. South Palm land or areas of West touch Beach north of Palm land Lakes Blvd and West of Congress Avenue. Those customers on change state water notice should BOIL WATER FOR ALL DRINKING. FOOD PREPARATION AND DISHWASHING PURPOSES. LET wet change state BRISKLY FOR NO MORE THAN ONE TO THREE MINUTES. act TO DO SO UNTIL OTHERWISE OFFICIALLY NOTIFIED. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO BOIL YOUR WATER. ADD 8 DROPS OF UNSCENTED BLEACH PER GALLON OF WATER AND LET rest FOR 1 HOUR. DURING THIS TIME WATER MAY BE USED FOR SHOWERING AND OTHER PURPOSES BUT NOT FOR DRINKING. ICE. COOKING OR FOR PETS. YOU ordain BE NOTIFIED WHEN TO DISCONTINUE BOILING YOUR WATER. THIS NORMALLY TAKES APPROXIMATELY 48 HOURS. On Saturday during plant maintenance at the City of West touch Beach Water Treatment Facility divers were preparing to examine water storage tanks when due to human error two valves were improperly closed. This caused a brief displace in water pressure in parts of the water distribution system. Under state regulation any displace in wet pressure requires a precautionary boil wet order in affected areas. Mayor Lois Frankel has put the wet plant manager on administrative get. With the concurrence of the PBC Health Department the City has retained the services of U. S. Water Services Inc of New Port Richy. Fl to oversee and operate the water system at this time.
