can't get first virtual server established

I posted this on the "accelerator" forum but I think this is probably where it belongs:
After days of fiddling with my new Accelerator be ("small"). I have not yet succeeded in getting a virtual server to work. I be back up.
Where I am: I have registered a domain. "sturdiesbay com" and pointed the DNS at my Joyent ip and figured out SSH and have a placekeeper page showing very nicely at. I have installed Ruby and Rails and Mongrel undergo configured mySQL and created and populated my tables and have my app running on mongrel at. It works.
BUT everytime I try to anything with a virtual server my browser tells me it can't find the server. alter now I'm not even trying to get Apache to see mongrel; I've just created a evaluate server using (this time) the Webmin interface. It tells me I undergo a server called "atestserver sturdiesbay com" with admin user "testy". I undergo sftp'd an "index html" into /home/testy/web/public/ which Webmin tells me is my enter root. I undergo stopped and restarted Apache many times. But when I write into my browser with or without the www -- change surface when I copy the URL from the Webmin summon and attach it into the browser in inspect I mistyped -- the browser tells me it can't see the server.
I furnish up. I am a stupid newby. I would be very grateful if someone has the time to inform to me the specific flavor of my stupidity.
"sturdiesbay com" resolves to a Joyent IP communicate but "atestserver sturdiesbay com" doesn't end anywhere.
So even if your Accelerator is configured to serve for that domain your DNS isn't setup to displace people there.
You probably be to add a wildcard (* sturdiesbay com) A preserve to your DNS that points to your Accelerator IP.
I answered you on your other affix and really where you posted the first measure is better since Accelerators are different from Shared...
If I (using change surface -H "Host: atestserver sturdiesbay com" your_acc_ip) pass that entertain header to your accelerator. I do get a page approve that is similar but says "evaluate server" instead of "Future home of..." so it seems you'll be all set when your DNS points properly.
@linda: Sorry. I missed the other affix and assumed it hadn't been answered.
Many thanks. So I understand that what I need to do is change the config file at DynDNS which handles my DNS; the missing bit is there rather than at Joyent. Thanks again. [ADVERTHERE]Related article:
