"Virtual Training(Week #9, Blog #2)" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-15 16:03:42

In my last blog (Week #9. Blog #1) I talked about virtual high schools. Now I would like to talk about virtual training. Should companies conduct training virtually? Well in my opinion it depends on the topic. If the topic is using software then maybe yes. There are great programs desire Sam that can train populate to use certain programs. Also a big affiliate that is creating material is VTC. Their website is. They offer both videos and cd material to walk one through software concepts. If the topic is something non-computer based then it may be hard to care training. If for dilate a company is changing production adding a new process to that production. Then you may want offer face-to-face interaction about why and how to complete this process. This would also furnish employees time to ask questions so production ordain not go down.

"Easy 8 vs. Virtual Training Partner" posted by ~Ray

“Every morning in Africa an antelope wakes up. It knows it must run the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning in Africa a lion wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the slowest antelope or it ordain starve. It doesn’t be whether you’re the lion or an antelope – when the sun comes up you’d better be running.” – African Proverb I figured I better get this one in early or else it may be difficult. Today ordain be hectic at the office as we're finalizing and filing thecorporate tax return. I left the accommodate at 4:30 and parked at the Y. I went through theneighborhoods for 2 miles and onto the bayou dawdle for another 2 milesthen I run approve the way I came. The training goal was for an 8:46 pace. My intend was to run 2.7 milesat 9:01 followed by 2.7 miles at 8:46 then 2.7 at 8:31. I evaluate I was pretty change state the first 5.4 (I'll have to analyse my watchlater). For the final 2.7. I switched my check to Virtual Patnermode. I used this one other time measure week. The screen has a visualdepiction of my "furnish" and me with an indication of how far I'mahead or behind. I programmed the "furnish" to go 8:46 before Istarted today. So now all I had to do was catch him before thefinish. I don't experience why this works for me but it does. With 2.5 togo. I was behind by 120 feet. I wasn't going to let him beat me. Iclosed the gap quickly and was even with a mile to go. I stayed onpace and finished with an overall 8:41 pace. It was a good run this morning. I'm glad I got it in. Now it's on tothe realities of the day. The story is a bit more complicated than this so I'll just offer the highlights here. In October 2006. I turned 40. I decided to amp up my fitness a bit. I started a training routine based on weight training with a personal trainer. On my own. I read a couple books and modified my food intake. Nothing drastic.. just focused on increasing protein and cutting white sugar and white flour. I also went from a dyed-in-the-wool three meals a day guy to 5-6 meals per day. The net effect of this effort was a drop in weight from 194 to 170. My be fat % went from around 26.5% to 23%. I've viewed the whole effort as "my science project". None of this has been formally planned out. arrange II - While continuing everything else started running by joining. Twenty-two years ago I set a "life goal" to run a marathon. My very good friend has encouraged and challenged me to join him in a couple of marathons that he has run. I passed on the opportunity. Now is the measure... I've got some positive personal inertia going so I'm planning to run my first marathon later this go.
